Hey friends,
Thanks for letting me have a moment or two of your weekend to share some thoughts with you.
Where I live in Alabama, it gets warm fast. We usually have a brief spring and then bam! Summertime arrives. Temps are usually in the 90's but there have been years when temps spiked up to 100 degrees or more!
Though summer is a scorcher, it is a beautiful season!
Talking about summertime, July 4th will be here in about 6 weeks or so!
The real purpose of the 4th of July is to reflect on our independence as a nation from Great Britain.
We enjoy wonderful liberties as citizens of the United States of America.
We are so blessed.
I'm thankful for our nation and I know you are too!
In addition to appreciating the holiday because of its meaning, there will also be opportunities that day to relax, spend time with family, and maybe even go to a fireworks celebration.
I know I'm looking forward to this great holiday and I'm sure you are as well.
Speaking of spending time with family, one of the family members that we take a lot of time up with are our fur babies.
And on this 4th of July, you might want to consider carrying your dog to a fireworks show.
I know, you're thinking "Are you crazy? Have you lost your mind? There's no way I'm going to take Fido to a fireworks celebration!"
But give me a split-second to add a thought or two.
July 4th is a fun holiday!
And you can have even more fun if you include your dog in it!
You can dress him or her up in an Independence Day costume and observe as people rave how cute and gorgeous your canine family member is.
And there are things available that will help your pooch remain calm during the explosive firework presentation in the sky.
