The Most Dangerous Room in Your House!

What is the most dangerous room in your house?

Well, it depends on who you're trying to protect.

If you have little children, you most likely have child locks on cabinets that contain dangerous items in order to protect your kids.

Or if you're a caregiver of a person with memory problems, protective measures should be taken to make sure that he or she doesn’t wander off outside and get lost.

But my question has to do with Cavapoos.

So, what room in your house poses the greatest risk to your fur baby?

Well, in my opinion the answer is, drum roll please…

THE KITCHEN.

Yep, the best smelling room in all the house.

The room with all the seasonings, candy, chocolate, onions, and other delicious items that we consume is dangerous to your Cavapoo.

And while we love to create spectacular dishes in the kitchen, we must eye our puppies to make sure they don’t come behind us and vacuum the floor with their mouth.

So, what are some foods that could hurt your dog?

Chocolate is a biggie. It contains theobromine and caffeine, both of which are toxic to dogs. Of course, there are some variables in the chocolate equation such as the weight of the dog, the type of chocolate eaten, and the quantity or amount digested.

Onions are a no-no. I love onions! I love cooked onions, grilled onions, raw onions, and Blooming Onions from Outback Steakhouse! But when it comes to dogs, you and I must do an eye sweep of the kitchen floor to make sure that there are no onions accidentally decorating the floor from our cooking. Why are onions dangerous? Because they’re part of a group of plants called alliums, which are toxic to dogs. Also in this toxic group are chives, garlic, and leeks.

Grapes are untouchables. Grapes are so toxic to dogs that if eaten it can cause kidney damage.

But this trio isn't the only group of foods that can hurt your dog.

In fact, for a more in-depth listing, glance at my post entitled “Make Sure Your Cavapoo Doesn’t Eat These 17 Foods!” You’ll find 17-yes seventeen killer foods that your Cavapoo should never eat!

So, let's protect our precious pups!

Here’s to healthy eating for your Cavapoo!
